Playfields Park Batting Cages
Junior Basketball Program (3rd-6th Graders)
Fundamentals, sportsmanship, and fun are emphasized in our Jr. Basketball League which features girls and boys 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade divisions. Each team will practice two days a week at a school or neighborhood park on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Practices will begin between 3:15pm-4:00pm depending on coach schedules. Wednesday practices may start as early as 1:30pm or as late as 4:00pm. Games are held on Saturdays at the Community Gyms on the Davis High School campus. Coaches will contact families between January 11-14 and practices will begin the week of January 15. Space is limited. The last day to register online is Wednesday, November 29.

Being A Jr. Basketball Volunteer
Interested in being a volunteer coach? We are seeking positive, committed, friendly and energetic role models to coach the City of Davis Junior Basketball Program (Boys and Girls 3/4 grades and 5/6 grades). Anyone passionate about basketball is encouraged to volunteer their time and help make this popular program successful. Parents selected as volunteer coaches will have their child’s Junior Basketball registration fee waived! All coaches will be required to fill out a Volunteer Intake Form/ Application, pass a background check and attend a training session (tentatively scheduled for January 8, 9, 10). Positive Coaching Resources
Check out the Positive Coaching Alliance Development Zone for tips for the first time coach, teamwork, social-emotional learning, overcoming racism in sports and creating inclusivity in sports. Adult Softball
USA Softball of Sacramento is proud to partner with the City of Davis Parks and Community Services Department to offer adult men's and coed slow pitch softball leagues at Playfields Park in Spring, Summer and Fall. Tuesday Coed Rec, Wednesday Men's D5 and Thursday D3 Divisions will be offered. Register by visiting www.gssaleagues.com.

Adult Basketball League - Registration will begin in Fall '24
The 2024 winter season will begin in late fall or early winter. A lottery will be held if there are more teams than spaces available. Each team will play 10 games, depending on the number of teams that register, and fees are $540 per team.

Open Gym Basketball
Grab your sneakers and head out to the Community (North) Gym on the Davis Senior High School campus and join us for year round drop-in Adult (18+ years) basketball. A $5 per person, per day fee is collected at the door.

Open Gym Volleyball
Come join us for Adult (18+ years) drop-in Volleyball on Wednesdays and Sundays in the Community (North) Gym on the Davis Senior High School Campus. All playing levels are welcome. A $7 per person per day fee is collected at the door.

Teen/Adult Open Gym
Teen Open Gym is a long time program held in the Community (North) Gym on the Davis Senior High School campus. This is a great opportunity for teens, grades 9-12, to drop in on a game of badminton or basketball. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, but the program does have some equipment available for daily use.
Prices:
Adults - $5 at the door
17 and under - $2 at the door
